Reality……
At first I had thought this had uploaded earlier this week and it had not. Here is to the second try at the reality of life.
Frustrated post here. Last week of work and it’s also the last week I’m home before I head out to the trail. It still hasnt fully sunk in that I’m starting the trail next week.
Reality check #1: The Appalachian Trail is just as much as a mental challenge as physical.
Reality check #2: I should be getting excited about going on this amazing challenge/adventure. But no!
Reality check #3: I am close, and I mean close, to give up/quite/not go on the hike and miss out on a amazing adventure because I am so stressed out from work and people either telling me how to pack my pack or stuff that I need or that I don’t have to go the whole way or I can come home early. Instead of letting me figure it out on my own.
I’m more discouraged than anything and frustrated. And don’t want to rangle the pack and figure that out before I leave next week.
Two things that came out good is the pixie cut from a local salon with a comment from Sister that I can pull off a “boy” cut and totally surprising My Man over FaceTime that night and the next morning when he saw me. His reaction was priceless.
